Chris, I've noticed more and more catchers using 'body signs' along with (or rather than) traditional finger signs to the pitcher. Perhaps you can give us an understanding of....(1) why they use body signs (e.g. runner on 2nd? pitcher can't see hand signs?), and (2) how do the body signs work? Should injury force a change in throwing mechanics?

Another question for Chris.....Reading the interesting Arm Angles article got me thinking about my own situation. I went in shortly before Thanksgiving for the standard 'decompression' surgery (bone spurs, bursitis, tendonitis) and unfortunately the surgeon found a 50% tear of my rotator cuff tendon and some minor damage to the labrum.
